Moscow, Russia (September 24, 2014)– On September 27th in Moscow, WBC Cruiserweight Champion, Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (49-2-1, 35 KOs) will have tough test fighting rugged Grigory Drozd (38-1, 27 KOs).

Wlodarczyk defends his crown for the 7th time. Fiodor Lapin who trains him, revealed snippets of tactics explaining:

“Against Drozd our strategy will be different than the one we used on the Rakhim Chakkiev bout, who was knocked by Wlodarczyk in 8 rounds. Rakhim is an offensive boxer. He is always attacking his rivals bodies and aiming for the head. Drozd is different. He is a fast agile boxer, who’s resistant and he is also in great shape. We never underestimate our opponents. That is the reason we had achieved successful past defenses.
“In Drozd’s last bout he had a great fight against Mateusz Masternak. We are carefully studying him and we will formulate a perfect plan for victory.”

“Krzysztof is capable of being a specialist defensive boxer but he’s also an expert offensive boxer. We have several options. Wlodarczyk is versatile and his main virtues are patience, character, and the confidence he has in himself. We are sure he will successfully defend the WBC belt again.”
