Nordic Coliseum Women Boxing debuts on GFL.tv with “NCWB 1” from the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Gatineau, QC, Canada on August 15. Look for these women to throw down inside the squared circle as they go for broke in front of a worldwide audience.

In the main event, Kaliesha West fights Olivia Gerula. West is a former 3 time WBO Bantamweight and current IFBA Super Bantamweight World Champion. West has been fighting for over a decade and racked up tons of hard fought victories. West uses great footwork and head movement to get inside and score and get out of harm’s way. Gerula is a heavy handed fighter that can end a fight with a single punch. Gerula has an iron chin and loves to walk her opponent’s down inside the ring. Look for Gerula to try and cut off the ring and get West in a corner. This bout promises to be a shootout with the contrasting game plans going into it.

Brenda Gonzales takes on Lucia Osegueda. Gonzales is a rising star that is looking to make her mark against her toughest test to date. Gonzales is a punishing body puncher and has doubled over several of her past opponents. Osegueda is another boxer that uses the full array of punches and she can equally do damage with uppercuts, hooks and body shots. Expect fireworks from these two.

Sherine Thomas battles Vanessa Bradford. Thomas and Bradford are looking to rise up the ladder and for one of them, they will do just that. Both women come into the ring with their backs against the ropes and will be looking to not only win, but prove a point that they belong in future main events for NCWB. Both women will be head-hunting and trying to get KO of the night. Don’t blink.

JKN Boxing – Rumble in the City

Charlotte, NC: Rumble in the City promoter Jonathan K. Nazeer announced today, the fight card for his upcoming August 16th World Class Professional Boxing event at the Carol Hoefener Center featuring the rematch of Hector “Macho” Camacho, Jr. (57-6-1,31 KOs) vs. Mexican power puncher Miguel Angel “Flaco” Munguia (29-31-1, 25 KOs) in the main event. Camacho, Jr. is the son of the late three-time world champion Hector “Macho” Camacho and making his comeback with the Charlotte promoter and businessman.

The Co-Main event will feature one of two heavyweight bouts of the evening when Former NFL Defensive End turned fighter Ray Edwards (7-0) vs. Charlotte’s own Djuan Hughey (1-8). Hughey is looking for his first professional win at home. Cruiserweight Antwuan Tubbs (son of Former Heavyweight Champion Tony “TNT” Tubbs) makes his professional debut as he takes on Kelly “The Kid” Henderson, Jr.

Also on the undercard Jonathan K. Nazeer signing prospects, heavyweight Chris Hancock (7-0) and welterweight William McElroy (4-0). On the White Collar Match Jordan Chambers-Blair (Susan G. Komen) vs. Nick Elliott (Celiac Foundation) will go head-to-head in a winner takes bout benefiting their charities and USA Boxing will hold an exhibition of local amateur talent.
