JUANMA LOPEZ AND JONATHAN OQUENDO WILL TRAVEL TO LAS VEGAS TOMORROW FOR THEIR BOUTS ON THE CANELO-LARA SHOW THIS SATURDAY, JULY 12TH

 

Puerto Ricans Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez and Jonathan “Polvo” Oquendo will travel tomorrow to Las Vegas for their fights against Mexicans Francisco Vargas and Abner Mares, respectively, this Saturday, July 12, as part of the Saul “Canelo” Alvarez against Erislandy Lara show, to take place at the MGM Grand, in a Golden Boy Promotions presentation, broadcasted on Showtime Pay Per View.

The former WBO superbantamweight and featherweight champion Lopez (34-3, 31 KOs), who is going to defend his WBO International junior lightweight title versus Vargas (19-0-1, 13 KOs), will fly tomorrow from the Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport in the Delta Airlines flight #1386 at 11:44 a.m., along with his trainer Freddy Trinidad and his manager Orlando Piñero.

While Oquendo (24-3, 16 KOs), who will fight against former world bantamweight, super bantamweight and featherweight champion Mares (26-1-1, 14 KOs) in a 10 rounds scheduled bout, will travel in the American Airlines flight #1341 from Puerto Rico at 12:05 p.m. with his trainer Dennis Pantoja and his team.

The main event will have former 154 pounds world champion Canelo Avarez against the WBA junior middleweight titlist Erislandy Lara in a 12 rounds scheduled fight.
