Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana  Announces he will rematch Marcos Maidana

The first version, May 3 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, was supposed to be a one sided fight for the pound-for-pound king, but turned into a 12 round war in which Mayweather (46, 0) emerged with a majority decision.

“September 13th, back to business. Marcos Maidana. Floyd Mayweather, part two,” Mayweather said during a red-carpet interview before the BET Awards in Los Angeles.

“And then in May, I’m fighting in May (2015), I’m going to have a big surprise for y’all.”

The fight hasn’t been officially announced, nor a venue.

“Sometimes you get hard-headed and do what you want to do,” Mayweather said then. “If we fought again in September, would it be the same fight? Absolutely not. Absolutely not. I can make the fight a lot easier if I want to.”

Maidana said via Twitter this morning that talks are ongoing. Check out the announcement in the video below.
