FORMER FEMALE BOXING WORLD CHAMP HOLLY HOLM SIGNS WITH THE UFC

Las Vegas, NV (July 11, 2014)– The UFC has signed former professional boxer and undefeated female bantamweight Holly Holm to a contract, president Dana White announced on Thursday.
“I’m excited,” White told ESPN.com. “I like the fact we keep bringing in more talent.
“With women or men, I never know what to think until I see them fight in the UFC. It’s such a different dynamic fighting here. There’s no doubt she’s talented and she has a lot of followers. People are excited to see her.”
White has announced when Holly Holm would make her debut. Holm (7-0) made her professional MMA debut in March 2011.
As a pro boxer, she won multiple world titles while having a career record of (33-2-3) with 9 knockouts. Six of her seven fights including the knockout over Juliana Werner in MMA for the Legacy FC women’s bantamweight title in April.
Holm, 32, trains out of Jackson-Winkeljohn MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
