Universal Boxing Federation Presents Night of Champions, Abraham Han versus Juan Carlos Candelo InterContinental Middleweight Title Bout at County Coliseum El Paso

El Paso, TX (April 2, 2014)– Antonio Escalante Promotions, the Universal Federation and its USA representative Michael Melendez present Night of Champions / Noches de Campeones inaugural UBF InterContinental Middleweight title belt between Abraham Han, 21-2 with 13 knockouts, El Paso, Texas, versus Juan Carlos Candelo, 32-13 with 21 knockouts, Baytown, Texas, in the 10 round main event at County Coliseum El Paso on Friday evening, April 5, 2014.
According to Melendez, “Candelo has far experienced opponents, and Abraham Han has the hometown crowd. Which will persevere? It remains to be seen. It’s going to be a great fight, let the best man win.” Candelo has fought the likes of Jermain Taylor, Ronald Wright, Kassim Ouma, Fernando Guerrero, Verno Phillips, Marco Antonio Rubio, Chase Shields, Angel Hernandez and Alex Bunema.
Unbeaten lightweight prospects and brothers Oscar Valenzuela and Cesar Valenzuela are among those scheduled to appear in preliminary bouts on the card.
Cesar Valenzuela faces Jason Tresvanа in a four rounder. Oscar Valenzuela faces Esteban Villalba in a six rounder. Light welterweight Carlos Villa faces Cordell Powell in a four rounder. Light middleweight John Vera faces Javier Nueeza in a four rounder.
Junior lightweight Christopher Salinas will make his pro debut against David Mueoza in a four rounder. Lightweight Isaak Dominguez will make his pro debut against Salvador Zamora in a four rounder. Finally, heavyweights Dominique Smith and Ronald Tapia will fight a four rounder.
