(Miami, FL)- Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal (25-7) has gone 2-0 in the UFC since his April debut and plans on maintaining his undefeated UFC record in his upcoming fight versus Rustam Khabilov (16-1) on November 6, 2013 for UFC Fight Night for the Troops on Fox Sports 1. Khabilov is considered extremely dangerous on the ground and many speculate whether Masvidal will be able to overcome the Russian’s power.
“I’m not Apollo Creed,” said Masvidal. Masvidal, who’s family fled Cuba to avoid political persecution, has a personal vendetta against the Russians. “They helped Castro and supplied his military with weapons. They helped make it so my family can’t live in a place they used to call home. I can’t stand the Russians and I plan on taking my anger out on Rustam on November 6th.”
Masvidal has been training extensively for this fight at American Top Team in Coconut Creek. “I’ve change everything around for this fight. I’ve got a new nutritionist, a new food program- Deliver Lean, and I’ve been more dedicated to my training than ever,” indicated Masvidal.
“I’m not worried about this Commi- he wants to bring on the power, I beg you please bring it. You’ll just bewalking right into my royal flush and I’m the King of Poker baby,” said Masvidal.
Frequently asked during interviews when he will be releasing another episode of Miami Hustle, Masvidal tells us the wait is over. “We just released the latest episode of Miami Hustle: Tales From the Grind,” said Masvidal. “You can watch it on You Tube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcXXJKIm69I . It’s one of our best yet.”
Already garnering over 4,000 hits in just a few days since its release, Masvidal, now an Executive Producer on the show, is ready to really push the project forward. “We’re filming full time now,” indicated Masvidal. “We plan on launching the rest of the Miami Hustle series rapidly going forward. We made our fans wait too long for new material. Now we are going to give it to them. There are some big things the works. Just wait.”
Masvidal trains at the world renowned American Top Team under head coach Ricardo Liborio and is represented by ML Management. Masvidal’s fight at UFC Fight Night 31 will take place Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Fort Campbell, Kentucky and will be aired live on Fox Sports 1.
