Oscar De La Hoya Checks into Rehab and Will not Attend Canelo vs. Mayweather
Oscar De La Hoya made a statement through Golden Boy Promotions this week, expressing that he will not be attending the Floyd Mayweathe vs.Canelo Alvarez fight. Here is his statement below.
“Canelo Alvarez and I have big fights coming up this weekend. His is the ring and mine in treatment.
I will not be at the fight this Saturday to cheer Canelo to victory since I have voluntarily admitted myself into a treatment facility.
I explained this to Canelo and he understood that my health and longterm recovery from my disease must come first.
Thank you for your understanding. I ask for your support and privacy during this difficult time for me and my family.”

The slander, photo shopped photos of myself,lies to our Real Combat Media Team for the past 16 months and all the public facebook slander, is not a way to handle your frustrations with our company. Now you have Mr. Tim Kudgis from ATG Radio sending me messages and saying explicit language about our company on the air and you keep sending me online threats. I am kind of scared. I have no idea who he is and have no issues with their great radio show. It’s not fair to their show and their staff to include him in your differences with us.
My team is scared and they have blocked you and they ask for you to please stop harrassing them on facebook. You are a complete stranger to them. Mr. Torres, we understand we had or business differences when you were with RCM, but your attacks our personal against my reputation. Please stop and you are welcome to call me any time to resolve our differences. If your website is struggling, you know I always have given you advice in the past to improve.
You know how much of a scumbag liar you are? The ATG Boxing Radio show is no longer on air so Tim Kudgis could not have said anything about you or rcm on air. Anymore lies you want to mention? Go ahead, be my guess.
2012 the show was on the air. The proof is in last September’s archives. The radio slander does not go away Mr. Torres.
Don’t act like a good guy. You in the past have said that you wanted to do damage to me. The good guy image is not working. If you did not steal my work we would not be having this problem right now. You can’t help yourself. I told you before, stop stealing my work and I wouldn’t have to address you in this manner. You can stop all this by not stealing my work any more. It’s up to you, not me. Help yourself out.
It’s not about being the good guy, but we are good ethical people at Real Combat Media. However, I am damaged by the constant slander and the comments to our team. No one stole your work. We also receive the same press releases in the boxing media.
