Chael Sonnen vs. Rashad Evans is Confirmed

Las Vegas, NV (September 5th, 2013)– UFC officials confirmed that Rashad Evans, 33, will be facing Chael Sonnen, 36, at Light Heavyweight on the C0-Main Event of UFC 167 on the GSP vs. Johnny Hendricks card.
UFC 167 takes place Nov. 16 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and the main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and Facebook.
Evans, (18-3), a former light-heavyweight champion, recently stopped a two-fight losing streak with a split-decision win over Dan Henderson. Evans had suffered back-to-back losses to Jon Jones and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira before the his last win.
Sonnen (29-13-1) stopped his own two-fight skid, which came in title losses to Anderson Silva and Jon Jones, with 1st round submission victory over Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC Fight Night 26.
