Carlos Condit vs. Matt Brown at UFC Fox 9

Las Vegas, NV (September 18th, 2013)– The UFC has announced a fight between of two their hardest hitting welterweights will take place on December 14th in Sacramento. Former interim champion “The Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit (29-7) and TUF 6 cast member “The Immortal” Matt Brown (18-11) will meet at The Sleep Train Arena for UFC on Fox 9.
It should come as no surprise that the organization would look to utilize Brown’s talents on Fox once again as Dana White recently dubbed the 32 year old “Mr. Fox” for his penchant for stealing the show on Fox broadcasts. Brown has managed to amass a consecutive four KO/TKO wins since June of last year but Carlos Condit will look to halt that momentum. Condit ended a two loss skid when he earned a 4th round TKO stoppage over Martin Kampmann in August, avenging a loss from back in 2009 and earning FOTN bonus in the process.
Neither man has made a habit of playing it safe in their career nor does it go without saying that both are eager to show they belong in the title mix. This match up certainly looks to be an early contender for some fight night bonuses.

A welterweight clash between Carlos Condit and Matt Brown has been added to UFC on fox 9. Carlos had just TKO’d Martin Kampmann and wanting to stay relevant and busy he asked to face the Matt Brown. Brown has been a wrecking ball of late, winning 6 straight 5 of those by way of TKO/KO. Mike Pyle was the last victim of Brown. It took Matt 0:29 in the first round to KO Pyle and after the win he was quick to call out the champion George St-Pierre. If Matt can replicate another impressive win over Condit he could very well be knocking on the door on the champ. Whoever wins the GSP vs. Hendricks showdown? Carlos is going to be the biggest test of Browns career to date. The former interim champion has all the standup tools to give Brown a really tough test. Brown saying he has better wrestling then GSP he will have to put his money where his mouth is. As wrestling has been the weakest part of the natural born killer’s game. If Brown can’t control Condit or use his wrestling to set up his own strikes he might be on the other end of the knockout. Be sure to tune into UFC on FOX 9 taking place Saturday, December 14th 7pm/10pm pt/et
