Brixton Bomber Danny Williams Loses Seventh Bout In A Row
By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Correspondent
London, UK (May 20th, 2013)– Danny ‘Brixton Bomber’ Williams is 39 years old. The rugged veteran of 17 Commonwealth British Empire Heavyweight title bouts, who fought Dr. Vitali Klitschko for the World Boxing Council World Heavyweight title in 2004, should have retired after Dereck Chisora stopped him in two rounds at Upton Park in London in May 2010, and Manuel Charr stopped him in seven rounds in Cologne, Germany in June 2011.
Williams scored his last win in September 2011 over 47 year old Al Cole, a former cruiserweight champion old as Methuselah, by a very lucky six round split decision.
As if Audley Harrison and David Price’s fall from grace weren’t bad enough, Williams has shown up outside the United Kingdom and lost seven bouts in 15 months, sufficient to embarrass the boxing community of Great Britain yet again.
Williams has lost to Leif Larsen (TKO by 2), Janne Katajisto (lose 8), Christian Hammer (TKO by 4), Denis Bakhtov (Lose 10), Werner Kreiskott (Lose 8), Mairis Breidis (TKO by 2), and Kelvin Price (Lose 10). Kriscott had the sensational stinky distinction of having a losing record of 12-19-1 when he fought Williams and won.
For the sake of British boxing fans and boxing fans around the world, the day has come when the shameful ride and tide of Danny Williams lose for a payday streak comes to a miserable and final end. Danny Williams, the Brixton Bomber, should hang up the gloves and retire before he gets seriously hurt. Williams, who will turn 40 years old July 13, 2013, needs to retire now before he loses and tragedy results.
