COMPLETED WITH EIGHT FIGHTS THE UNIMAS SOLO BOXEO TECATE SHOW ON MAY 18, IN TRUJILLO ALTO, PUERTO RICO
With eight fights is completed the UniMas Solo Boxeo Tecate show, that PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) in association with Top Rank will present on May 18 at the Ruben Zayas Montañez Coliseum in Trujillo Alto, where prospect Felix “Diamante” Verdejo will fight in a six rounds bout for the first time.
“In the next Solo Boxeo Tecate show in Puerto Rico, on May 18, we will show eight bouts and good matches as the fight between Gamalier Rodriguez and Alicio Castañeda, also the clash between Verdejo and Corben Page, the first six rounds fight for Verdejo”, PRBBP President Ivan Rivera said.
The main event of the evening will present in a 10 round fight, Gamalier Rodriguez (20-2-3, 14 KOs), from Bayamon, Puerto Rico, facing Texan Alicio Castañeda (15-1, 6 KOs), in the junior lightweight division.
Also, in the co-main fight, 2012 Olympian, Diamante Verdejo (5-0, 4 KOs), will face Corben Page (4-5-1) in a six round and junior lightweight bout. Verdejo come off a first round KO win on April 13 in New York over Steve Gutierrez. On March 23 in Trujillo Alto, Verdejo beat Martin Quezada by TKO in two rounds.
In scheduled to six rounds fights, prospect John Karl Sosa (6-0, 4 KOs) will fight against Alexis Peña (7-2, 5 KOs) in 143 pounds; Levan Ghvamicheva (9-0, 7 KOs) will face Samuel “Sammito” Santana (5-8-2) in 147 pounds, and Israel “El Heredero” Vazquez (8-0-2, 6 KOs) will fight versus a foe to be named in 108 pounds.
Meanwhile, in four rounds bouts, Trujillo Alto native Bernard “Bimbo” Lebron (1-0, 1 KOs) will face Osvaldo Vázquez (0-1) in 140 pounds; Fauris Capellán (5-1, 4 KOs) will fight against Christopher Rivera (5-12, 4 KOs) in 135 pounds, and Emmanuel Santos (1-0) will face debutant Juan Carlos Pantoja.
