WBO ANNOUNCES REFEREE AND JUDGES FOR THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, FEMALE WORLD TITLE BOUTS IN ARGENTINA
SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO- World Boxing Organization (WBO), by president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel, announced today the referees and judges who will work this Friday and Saturday in the world title bouts (Yesica Patricia Marcos vs Marcela Eliana Acuña and Yesica “La Tuti” Bopp vs Marisa Johana Portillo) inArgentinain an Osvaldo Rivero Promotions presentation.
On Friday, January 25, at the Teatro Griego Juan Pablo Segundo in San Martin, Mendoza, Argentina, the WBO superbantamweight champion, Marcos (21-0-1, 7 KOs) will make her second defense against former world champion Acuña (37-6, 17 KOs). For this bout the referee will be Hernan Guajardo, fromArgentina.
The judges for the Marcos-Acuña fight are Uruguayans Hugo de Leon and Anibal Andrade, and Jorge Tripodi, fromChile. WBO supervisor for this bout will be Jorge Molina.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, January 26, for the fight between the WBO female junior flyweight champion Bopp (22-0, 10 KOs), who is going to defend her title for the ninth time against Portillo (13-6-2, 2 KOs), the referee will be Anibal Andrade, fromUruguay. This fight will be held at the Polideportivo Municipal Monte Hermoso inBuenos Aires,Argentina.
The judges for this bout will be Ramon Cerdan, fromArgentina, Jorge Tripodi, fromChile, and Hugo de León, fromUruguay. The WBO supervisor for this fight will be Jose Graglia.
