Erislandy Lara vs. Vanes Martirosyan was a disappointment last night. Most of the fight was action packed however, the fight was stopped due to an accidental headbutt in the 9th round. The fight was scored a technical draw. The scorecards read, 86-85 Martirosyan, 87-84 Lara and 86-86 .
Here is what Lara had to say,
“I’m ready for a rematch right now. We can fight tomorrow, Monday or whenever. Whenever they make the fight I will be ready to go,” Lara stated.
Here is what Vanes had to say,
“He ran all night,” protested Martirosyan. “This isn’t the amateurs, it’s the professionals. He was running all night.”

Mikey Garcia improved to (30-0,26ko’s) and defeated Johnathan Barros (34-4-1, 18 KOs) by a devastating left hook TKO in their Featherweight battle. Garcia has finished 14 of his last 15 opponents.
Now Mikey Garcia from Oxnard, Ca, will now be facing Orlando Salido (39-11-2, 27 KOs) in his next fight for the WBO title. The fight will be at Madison Square Garden January 19th on HBO. This will definitely be a great fight to look forward to.
