Final Chance for Botha, who faces Pianeta Friday.

After going (2-3-1) in his last 6 professional bouts popular South African Heavyweight contender Francois ” The White Buffalo ” Botha needs a win on Friday when he faces Germany based Italian boxer Fransesco Pianeta this Friday on a big Sport1 fight night bill in Germany. A loss would completely delete him from even regional title opportunities. And seeing his age of 43 years old it would be unwise to stick around and risk his health seeing the tough career he has had. Being knocked out in his last two bouts, one against a somewhat legit fighter in the also aging powerful American Michael Grant, and also afterwords a stoppage to the unknown Carlos Takam. Pianeta is as good of quality as these other fighters but doesn’t have the power or strength to harm Botha. But he does have the skill to frustrate the older and slower Botha, who’s reflexes likely won’t stand as much to the younger and hungrier Pianetas. But a huge experience advantage against top guys is a nice edge for Botha. Making this an interesting fight to tune into on Friday Evening.
This bout can be viewed from Germany live on Sport1 and will feature a top female fighter in Christina Hammer in the co-feature. Drawing eyes to the card in an otherwise dull Friday evening of fights. Very interesting crossroads to view that Real Combat Media will have coverage of post fight.
