Paul Williams is likely paralyzed from waist down in Motorcycle Accident

ATLANTA — Former three time world champion Paul Williams suffered a motorcycle accident that will most likely end his boxing career. “The Punisher” as they called him could be paralyzed from the waist down. The incident occurred early Sunday morning near Atlanta. News 12 in Augusta, Geogia first broke out the story. George Peterson who is the manager of Paul Wlilliams told News 12 that surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. Williams had a September 15th scheduled fight against Saul “Canelo” Alvarez for the WBC jr. middleweight title. Stay tuned for more developments in this story.

Paul Williams motorcycle accident took place in Marietta, GA. Williams was on his way to attend his brother’s wedding on Sunday.In avoiding another car, his motorcycle went up an embankment and he was violently thrown off his bike. Williams severed his spinal cord after falling on his back and cracking his helmet. Surgery for Williams is scheduled on Wednesday.
