Alistair Overeem is most likely out of UFC 146 after failed test results.

According to MMA Junkie Alistair Overeem is out of UFC 146 after failing the Nevada state drug test for elevated levels of testosterone. This was Overeem’s very first failed drug test in his entire MMA career. Suprise tests were given on March 27th after the UFC 146 press conference.

Overeem’s “A” sample was flagged for an elevated T/E ratio that exeeded 10-to-1, well over the 6-to-1 limit. Keith Kizer said the heavyweight has the right to request the test’s “B” sample, which, if negative, would make him eligible to receive a fight license.

Alistair was scheduled to challenge Junior Dos Santos for the UFC heavyweight championship in May. Alistair Overeem defeated Brock Lesnar at UFC 141 last December.

Junior Dos Santos, Frank Mir, Cain Velasquez, Roy Nelson and Antonio Silva all passed their drug tests.

No replacement fight has been mentioned yet. A hearing will be scheduled in the near future to discuss this test result.

Dana White’s response to Alistar Overeem’s positive drug test.

“I am beyond pissed about this. I’m so (expletive) mad right now I can’t even begin …  The worst part is that he sat in front of us and lied to us. How (expletive) stupid do you have to be? Seriously dumb. Anybody who’s using (performance-enhancing drugs) right now is an absolute (expletive) moron.
