On Thursday January 12th, I will be traveling to the World Famous, Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn, NY to meet with Junior Welterweight New Yorican Gabriel “Tito” Bracero (18-0, 3 KO). Bracero headlines DiBella Entertainment’s “Broadway Boxing” and will defend his NABF 140 pound title on Jan. 21 at the Roseland Ballroom.
While I’m at Gleason’s Gym, I will be observing the Sunset Park, Brooklyn native as he prepares for his upcoming fight against DeMarcus Corley, a 37 year-old with a (37-19-1, 22 KO’s) record. DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corley has fought some of boxing well known fighters (Floyd Mayweather Jr, Zab Judah, Miguel Angel Cotto) throughout his career. Even though Corley is not the same fighter as he was 10 years ago, he is still a good test for the younger fighters coming up.
Gabriel Bracero is expecting big things to happen in 2012, along with many of his fans and his trainer Tommy Gallagher. Bracero has been focused in his training and on his career, looking for that opportunity that all fighters are looking for, a chance at the title. Bracero can help his cause with a solid convincing win over the veteran DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corley.
