RANKING AS OF DECEMBER 21st 2011:
1. Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26 KO’s) still remains the best in boxing at age 34. He is coming off a 4th round KO over Victor Ortiz in September of 2011.
2.Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KO’s) is coming off a poor performance against Marquez, but technically has not lost since
Eric Morales in 2005. He holds victories against Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito and Shane Mosley.
3.Sergio Martinez (48-2-2, 27 KO’s) holds victories over World Champions Kelly Pavlik, Paul Williams, Serhiy Dzinziruk & British and European Middleweight Champion Darren Barker.
4.Nonito Donaire (27-1, 18 KO’s) has dominated the Bantamweight division and he has been undefeated since 2001. Donaire has a TKO victory over Vic Darchinyan and he captured the WBC and WBO titles with a TKO victory over Fernando Montiel in February 2011.
5.Andre Ward (25-0, 13 KO’s) is coming off a dominating performance against Carl Froch . Andre holds the Ring Title, WBC , WBA and is the newly crowned Super 6 champion.
6.Juan Manuel Marquez (53-6, 39 KO’s) is one of the most skilled boxers in boxing today. He is coming off a good performance against Manny Pacquiao, but unfortunately it was judged as a loss.
7. Wladimir Klitschko (56-3, 49 KO’s) has remained unbeaten since 2004 and has dominated every opponent since. He is coming off a unanimous decision victory over David Haye in July of 2011.
8. Vitali Klitschko is considered by many (43-2, 40 KO’s) to be the better of the 2 brothers, but has not been as active as his brother and has retired once . He still remains unbeaten since losing to Lennox Lewis in 2003 by a cut.
9.Pongsaklek Wonjongkam(83-3-1,45KO’s) has dominitated the Flyweight division for a very long time. He only has one loss since 1995 and is coming off a decision victory over Edgar Sosa. He is considered one of the busiest fighters in boxing today.
10. Timothy Bradley (28-0, 12 KO’s) is currently the WBC Light Welterweight Champion in recess. He also holds the WBO Light Welterweight. He also has victories over Lamont Peterson, Devon Alexander and Kendall Holt.
