September 11 Judgement Day for Razor Ruddock on The Revival Card

Toronto, CA (August 11th, 2015)– September 11 is a significant day. In 2001 the Twin Towers tragedy rewrote American history in New York City. September 11 is a yearly date which is a memorial to the fallen whose lives were lost, and a testament to the resilient courage of the American spirit.

In the shadow of the significance of the date, Donavan ‘Razor’ Ruddock will attempt to make September 11, a noteworthy date in the United States, a noteworthy date in his 2015 comeback against all odds in Canada. Ruddock, the former heavyweight contender who retired in October 2001 but remained in the gym, will fight for the Canadian Heavyweight title in the third bout of his improbable comeback at age 51.

Ruddock, 40-5-1 with 30 knockouts, Weston, Canada, will face Canadian Heavyweight champion Dillion Carman, 8-2, seven knockouts, Mississauga, Canada, in a ten round undercard bout at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, Canada. Six bouts are scheduled for the Canada Indigo TV and USA Spike TV televised card promoted as ‘The Revival’ by Yvon Michel of GYM Promotions and Les Woods of Global Legacy Boxing.

The main event will feature World Boxing Council World Light Heavyweight southpaw champion Adonis ‘Superman’ Stevenson of Blainville, Canada, in the sixth defense of his title in a 12 rounder against challenger Tommy ‘Kryptonite’ Karpency of Adah, Pennsylvania. Ruddock and Stevenson are both predicted to win by late round TKO.

Texas welterweight southpaw prospect Errol ‘The Truth’ Spence Jr. of Desoto, Texas, will fight the ten round preliminary to the main event against southpaw South African fighter Christopher ‘The Heat’ Van Heerden. Spence is favored to win by decision. The undercard includes: southpaw super bantamweight Tyson Cave of Halifax, Canada, versus Hugo Paniagia of Santa Fe, Argentina in a ten rounder; female featherweight Sandy Tsagouris of Toronto, Canada, versus Shannon ‘Shotgun’ O’Connell of slacks Creek, Australia, in an eight rounder (two minute rounds); and the professional debut of Ukrainian cruiserweight Oleksandr Teslenko. Cave, Tsagouris, and Teslenko are all favored to win their bouts.
