UFC 334 Announced: Ciryl Gane vs Josh Hokit, Kayla Harrison vs Amanda Nunes Headline Madison Square Garden Card

New York, New York, (September 20th, 2026)–The UFC is bringing two title fights back to Madison Square Garden. During Saturday’s UFC 331 broadcast, the promotion officially announced UFC 334 for November 14th, headlined by new undisputed heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane defending his belt against unbeaten contender Josh Hokit, with a long-delayed women’s bantamweight title fight between Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes serving as co-main event. Five fights were confirmed for the main card, with seven more rounding out the prelims, including a retirement bout for a welterweight legend.
Main Event: Ciryl Gane Defends Against Josh Hokit
Gane (14-2, 1 NC) enters his first fight as full undisputed champion after Tom Aspinall vacated the title earlier this month due to ongoing complications from the eye injury Gane’s own foul caused at UFC 321. It’s a strange path to the belt, but Gane has done his part to earn it on merit too, becoming just the second fighter in UFC history to win an interim title twice when he stopped former two-division champion Alex Pereira at UFC’s White House card in June. Hokit (10-0) is the far less established name, a former Fresno State football player who bounced through practice squads with the 49ers and Cardinals before finding his footing in MMA. He’s made his mark since arriving in the UFC in August 2025 with equal parts finishing ability and pro-wrestling-style theater, including remarks about former First Lady Michelle Obama at the same White House event that drew plenty of backlash. He punched his ticket to the title shot that same night, taking a decision over former title challenger Derrick Lewis. The two have never fought, and Hokit will be making the jump from largely untested prospect straight into a five-round title fight against a veteran two weight classes deep into elite competition.
Co-Main Event: Harrison and Nunes Finally Get Their Fight
This one has been a long time coming. Harrison (19-1) and Nunes (23-5) were originally booked to meet at UFC 324 back in January, but Harrison withdrew after needing neck surgery, and the fight sat unresolved for eight months. There’s real history here beyond the rescheduling: the two were training partners at American Top Team before Harrison ever set foot in the UFC, and the promotion is billing this as one of the biggest fights in women’s MMA history. Harrison arrived in the UFC as arguably the best women’s fighter never to have competed there, submitting Holly Holm in her debut at UFC 300, adding a win over Ketlen Vieira, then taking the bantamweight title off Julianna Pena by second-round submission at UFC 316. Nunes, widely regarded as the greatest female fighter ever, is coming out of retirement for the first time since walking away as champion in June 2023. It’s Harrison’s first title defense, against the only woman in the sport with a resume built to match hers.

Elsewhere on the main card, Caio Borralho takes on Yousri Belgaroui at middleweight, Uros Medic meets Kevin Holland at welterweight, and Bilal Hasan faces Luis Gurule at flyweight. The most emotional moment of the night, though, is likely to happen on the prelims: Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson, a two-time welterweight title challenger and one of the most respected strikers of his generation, will fight Charles Radtke in the final bout of his career.
