London, UK (March 4th, 2022)– In the face of April 23, 2022, World Boxing Council World Heavyweight title fight date now set, a defense against Interim champion Dillian Whyte, World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has now stated he will join the other champion, Oleksandr Usyk, and fight on the front lines in the United Kingdom enters the war on the side of Ukraine. At the time of this writing, former world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and Vitali Klitschko, current World heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, and former World lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko are still alive, fighting on the front lines of the battle between Ukraine and The Russian Federation.

It’s fantastic,” Fury said at Tuesday’s press conference event to confirm his Wembley Stadium April 23, 2022, WBC world heavyweight title defense. “I’ll be the first one to join up. If England gets involved or America (The United States of America), I’ll be first in line for the job. My dad will as well and all the boys we’ll all be signing up to defend (Ukraine). If you’re from that country, (and you are living there), defend her (your homeland). Love your woman and fight for your country. That’s what I say.”Fury added “When it comes to war on U.K. soil, I’ll be first up,” the English pugilist told Talk Sport.

TMZ Sports also talked to Fury, age 33, who is contemplating retirement after the Dillian Whyte bout upcoming. Speaking about what he views an unprovoked war, the “Gypsy King” said if the war came to the United States and/or the United Kingdom, he would be right there to join.

“Two laws (exist for all): love your woman, and fight for your country. So they should be fighting for their country. Why not? If the war comes to the United States or the United Kingdom, then I’ll be joining. Don’t worry about that. We all will! Why ain’t we gonna defend our own land? C’mon. (Russian Federation) behave yourself.”

Entering March 3, 2022, The Russian Federation says nearly 500 soldiers have died in the invasion. Ukraine says the number is closer to 6,000. Million of refugees are on the run to neighboring countries, including over half a million babies and children. Russia’s defense ministry said 498 Russian soldiers had died in Ukraine and another 1,597 were wounded, according to Russia’s RIA news agency. The Russians claimed that the number of war dead for the Ukrainian forces was 2,870, with the number of wounded nearing 4,000. Unicef has set up blue dot safe zones in Romania and Moldova for refugees reaching these areas on the other side of the Ukrainian border. The United States Department of Homeland Security announced the designation of Ukraine for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months. “Individuals eligible for TPS under this designation must have continuously resided in the United States since March 1, 2022,” per press release. BBC Radio is reviving its use of shortwave radio to broadcast in Ukraine and in parts of Russia. The tactic, last used during World War II, uses frequencies which can travel for long distances and be accessible on portable radios.

Citizens in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol were trapped without power, heating or water. Mariupol authorities warned of a “critical” situation for residents amid heavy shelling. It’s not clear how many of Mariupol’s roughly 400 thousand inhabitants have been able to evacuate the strategically important port city, and how many have been killed or injured.

The Russian assault on Mariupol comes as its forces also fight for control of the Black Sea city of Kherson. The mayor of Kherson indicated overnight that Russian forces had seized control of the city of about 300 thousand residents, although the claim is disputed. The advance in Ukraine’s south shows Russian forces are attempting to create the beginning of a potential land bridge that could link the port city of Odesa in the west, through Kherson and Mariupol to the separatist-held pro-Moscow territories in the Ukrainian east.

In a 90 minute conversation with French President Macron yesterday, President Putin told Macron, in the midst of what the Russian Federation calls a “special military operation” he was available for peace negotiations but maintained discussion must take place with set conditions and objectives of neutralization and the total disarmament of Ukraine. The Russian leader also said that if Kyiv wanted to talk, it must act now, and if Ukrainians don’t accept these conditions, he will obtain the same result by the military path. Putin denied having bombarded Kyiv, but warned the situation would worsen, and whatever still to happen would be the burden and fault of Ukraine.
