Ex-World Champ Chris Eubank Mugged in London

London, UK(October 16th, 2021)– The whole world knows parts of Mexico are not as safe as they used to be. Still, it was a major shock in July 2019 when muggers had the audacity in Mexico City to rob retired former multiple division world champion Julio Cesar Chavez, 107-6-2 with 85 knockouts, Culican, Mexico, at gunpoint and stole his neck chain and watch. Chavez last fought in June 2021 in Jalisco Stadium, Guadalajara, Mexico, in a four-round exhibition against Hector Camacho Jr.
Now, the latest news comes from London, where former World Boxing Organisation World Middleweight and Super Middleweight champion Chris Eubank, 45-5-2 with 23 knockouts, Brighton, Sussex, United Kingdom, was mugged exiting a Barclays Bank branch in West London, whereby the thief tackled him, and took off at a fast pace after grabbing his 400 British Pound value 1992 vintage Louis Vuitton bag which contained an I’m A Celeb banana, and a quarter bar of Waitrose Belgian chocolate with hazelnuts.
Police have no suspects in either incident, but it probably did not pay for either ex-champion to fight back, considering the gas station robbery and follow up pursuit which led to the shooting death of former World Welterweight champion Vernon Forrest in July 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia. If you are going to flash flashy jewelry like the late Hector “Macho” Camacho’s “Macho” gold chain, you had better be prepared to defend your baubles. Nobody dared to challenge Macho Camacho in his time, but during the tough economic times of the Coronavirus Pandemic, thieves are more brazen and desperate.
