Vegas Xtreme Courture MMA Star Kyle Reyes Dies in Hospital at 30 After Bicep Surgery

Las Vegas, NV (September 1st, 2021)– MMA fighter Kyle Reyes is gone. In a sudden shocking development which has rocked the Mixed Martial Arts fight scene, MMA star Kyle Reyes, a member of Las Vegas team Xtreme Courture, was pronounced dead in a hospital post-surgery on Monday, August 30, 2021. He was 30 years old. The news broke officially on Tuesday in Las Vegas, Nevada.

On Friday, August 27, 2021, Kyle Reyes underwent surgery to repair the torn biceps in his left arm. The next day, on Saturday night, August 28, 2021, Reyes was found unresponsive unconscious in his hospital room. Doctors confronted complications, but were ultimately unable to save Reyes. Doctors found an infection in his lungs, with pneumonia causing his right lung to collapse, as well as swelling in his brain due to dangerously low oxygen levels, and a fever.

The MMA fight resume of Kyle Reyes began with his 2009 MMA pro debut. Reyes competed for Pacific X-Treme Combat in the United States territory of Guam in his first eight fights. After starting with five wins and two losses in his first seven MMA bouts, in October 2014, Reyes dropped a unanimous decision to current UFC World Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.

 

The MMA career of Reyes rebounded, and won 10 of his next 14 MMA bouts competing in Tachi, ACB, and other MMA groups. Reyes also competitively worked the corner for various fighters, including UFC bantamweight Trevin Jones, and Bellator featherweight Jeremy Kennedy.
