WBC Heavyweight Violence! Amir Mansour and Sergey Kuzmin Battle to Bloody Technical Draw

By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent

Luzhniki, Moscow (November 29th, 2017)– The World Boxing Council International Heavyweight title will remain vacant, after unbeaten Russian prospect Sergey Kuzmin and American Amir Mansour battled a brief but extremely violent and bloody three-round headbutt technical draw in the featured main event, at Luzhniki, in Moscow, Russian Federation, on Wednesday November 27, 2017.

It was a brief eight minutes and 45 seconds of madness, a cautionary tale, with Kuzmin, age 30, 11-0-1, eight knockouts, Saint Petersburg, Russia, and the Mansour, age 45, 23-2-1 with 126 knockouts, Wilmington, Delaware, but still very much in the heavyweight hunt, throwing cautious punches and circling the ring feeling each other out. The bout did not last long. Kuzmin should be praised for taking this bout fearlessly, but Mansour still remains the person to beat, should he ever get a heavyweight title shot.

Kuzmin sustained a horrible cut atop his forehead bleeding profusely, while Mansour sustained a horrific bloody cut atop his right eyelid. Referee Massimo Barrovecchio called in the ringside doctor, and immediately ended the contest before round three ended at 2:45.
