Erick Bone From Ecuador Does His Thing, Beats Up On El Gato at BB King

New York, NY (April 12th, 2014)–Light welterweight boxer Erick Bone is an unknown in New York City. A native of Ecuador, Bone made his American debut in the main event at BB King Blues Club & Grill on Thursday evening, April 10, 2014, and scored an impressive fifth round stoppage of faded former contender Francisco ‘El Gato’ Figueroa of Bronx, New York.
Bone, who is ranked fifteenth in the world by the World Boxing Council and World Boxing Association, now 13-1 with 8 knockouts, Manabi, Ecuador, used his height and reach advantage to blow away Figueroa. After a cautious even first round, Bone continued to stalk Figueroa, and eventually Bone worn him down. Figueroa, now 20-7-1, 13 knockouts, is now winless in his five comeback attempts of recent, since he lost to Randall Bailey.
