The 24-year-old Perez is a five-year professional who has wins over Nigel Fennell (13-2), Haskell Rhodes (20-5-1), Antonio Williams (16-0-1), and his last outing, when he took an eight-round unanimous decision over Alex Martin on June 6, 2025, in Houston.

Montoya of Mexicali, Mexico, has a record of 23-7-1 with 14 knockouts. The 31-year-old Montoya is a 12-year veteran. Montoya has over future world champion Luis Alberto Lopez (12-0), Ricardo Lara (17-4), Julio Barraza (19-1-1), Alejandro Guerrero (12-0), and former interim world champion Joseph Diaz (33-6-1). In his last bout, Montoya dropped a 10-round decision to undefeated Tsendbatar Erdenbat on November 21, 2025, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

In the eight-round co-feature, Current WBA Continental American champion and WBA number-13 ranked Emanuel Moreno (12-0, 3 KOs) of Wichita Falls, TX takes on Francisco Pedroza Portillo (20-13-2, 11 KOs) of Tijuana, Mexico in a bantamweight contest.

Cornelio Phipps (6-0, 2 KOs) of Oxford, PA, fights Frank Gonzalez (12-9, 6 KOs) of Hialeah. Florida in a super bantamweight fight.
