
Ex-Champ Kermit Cintron Making Fourth Comeback Attempt at Age 40

Reading, PA (September 25t, 2019)– Former IBF World Welterweight and WBO World Super Welterweight champion Kermit ‘Killer’ Cintron, 39-6-3 with 30 knockouts, Reading, Pennsylvania, will make his fourth comeback attempt in four years on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at The Riveredge in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Cintron, who will turn 40 years old on October 22, 2019, was unsuccessful in three comeback attempts in 2016, 2017, and 2018, winning none of them. His 2016 bout with David Grayton ended in a technical draw after five rounds, when an accidental head butt from Grayton left Cintron with a cut on the left eye, the right eyelid, and blinking the right eye unable to continue. In 2017, Cintron knocked down Tyrone Brunson twice in the fourth round, only to get knocked down three times in the fifth round and lose by knockout. Cintron’s 2018 comeback attempt against Marquis Taylor ended in a three-round no Contest after Cintron was unable to continue after he got cut from an accidental headbutt.
Travis Kauffman’s My Time Promotions, in association with Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions, will feature Cintron in the main event of a Pro/Am card. Reading southpaw welterweight Kashon Hutchinson, 6-5 with one knockout, and Harrisburg flyweight Luis Morales, 3-0 with two knockouts, are among the local boxers scheduled to appear on the undercard.
