Jaron Boots Ennis vs. Uisma Lima WBA DAZN Wells Fargo Center Matchroom Philly Card Preview
By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (October 11th, 2025)– Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing and DAZN will present an eight-card boxing show on Saturday night, October 11, 2025, from Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, featuring the vacant World Boxing Association World Super Welterweight title bout between Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis and Uisma Lima. Lima holds the IBO World Super Welterweight title. It is not known if the defense of that title is also at stake in this main event bout.
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds for DAZN Wells Fargo Center Philadelphia Card
Jaron Ennis -3000 vs. Uisma Lima +1200, junior middleweights
Alexis Barriere -125 vs. Guido Vianello +100, heavyweights
Tahmir Smalls -800 vs. Jose Roman Vazquez +500, welterweights
Ennis, 34-0 with 30 knockouts, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is predicted to win by 12 round split or majority decision over underrated and unknown southpaw Uisma Lima, 14-1 with 10 knockouts, Porto, Portugal, by way of Luanda, Angola. Ennis weighed in at 153.4 pounds, Lima weighed in at 153 pounds for this WBA super welterweight world title event.
Lima’s last seven opponents have a combined record of 117-1. After losing a 10 round decision to 16-0 Aaron McKenna at Bethnal Green in the United Kingdom for the vacant World Boxing Council International Middleweight title, (McKenna is now 20-0), Lima then defeated four unbeaten opponents with a combined record of 66-1 by decision at different locations from the Canada to South Africa: 14-1 Araik Marutjan (Won in 8 round); 18-0 Haro Matevosyan (Referee’s Technical Decision after the 10th round, won IBF Inter-Continental Super Welterweight title); 19-0 Sukhdeep Bahti Singh (Won decision in 12 rounds, won vacant IBO World Super Welterweight title); and 15-0 Koopman (Won by ninth round stoppage, retained IBO World Super Welterweight title). During his period, Lima came from nowhere to rise to the number nine worldwide ratings position at 154 pounds junior middleweight.
Boots Ennis may be the top-ranked BoxRec welterweight in the world, but he has not, and never has been, a super welterweight, the division where he is now attempting to ascend. Boots struggled twice over 12 rounds with highly technical Ukrainian Karen Chukhadzian, currently the tenth ranked welterweight in the world on BoxRec, who will be fighting Joel Marcos Mafauad for the vacant World Boxing Organisation and International Boxing Federation International Welterweight titles in Riga, Latvia, also on October 11, 2025. If Chukhadzian wins tonight, the IBF, who will vacate the IBF World Welterweight title held by Ennis tonight, might have to give Chukhadzian a third try at their welterweight world title.
This is an entirely new weight class for Boots Ennis, one in which Lima has proven himself world class early. Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford had all kinds of trouble winning a 12 round split decision over Israil Madrimov at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles for the WBO interim World Super Welterweight title last October 2024 by 12 rounds split decision. Ennis will get a gift decision if it comes to that in Philadelphia. Lima’s visit to Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, will prove to be a challenging social experience while it lasts. Given that, Lima’s 14-1 record is deceiving on the surface. He can fight.
In the televised heavyweight preliminary bout to the main event, Guido Vianello, 13-3-1 with 11 knockouts, Las Vegas, Nevada by way of Italy, is predicted to win by 12-round decision over Alexis Barriere, 12-0 with 10 knockouts, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada. The vacant World Boxing Council International Heavyweight title will be at stake. Barriere has not been seen outside of Canada. If a stoppage outcome occurs, Barriere would be favored. Barriere weighed in at 237 pounds, Vianello at 247.4 pounds for this WBC bout.
