Michael Katsidis is expected to announce his retirement from boxing due to the medical advice he has received after he had both both MRI and CAT scans performed in Sydney. That forced him to pull out of his fight on Feb.21st.
“Mike was devasteted” said dejected trainer Lewis.
“He wants to speak to his family first before announcing anything but really I’m glad the tests have stopped him fighting before something really bad happened.
“Boxing is a tough sport and it’s no good taking chances with your health. Michael is a great bloke with a wife and young daughter and he has so much in his life to be happy about even though this chapter of his boxing career is closing.”

O Κατσίδης αναμένεται να ανακοινώσει ότι εγκαταλείπει το μπόξ μετά από σειρά ιατρικών εξετάσεων που υποβλήθηκε στο Σίδνεϊ και τον ανάγκασαν να εγκαταλείψει τον επόμενο αγώνα του στις 21 Φεβ.
“Ήταν απαρηγόρητος” δήλωσε ο προπονητής του Lewis…”θέλει πρώτα να μιλήσει με την οικογένειά του, πριν ανακοινώσει ότι εγκαταλείπει την πυγμαχία. Είμαι ευτυχής όμως που τα τεστ τον σταμάτησαν πριν συμβεί κάτι κακό με την υγεία του..”
