WBA Bantamweight Champion Anselmo Moreno made his US debut in a spectacular fashion by dismantling  and easily out boxed veteran Vic Darchinyan in 12 rounds on the Abner Mares-Joseph Agbeko undercard Saturday in Anaheim, California.

Darchinayn (37-4-1, 27 KO’s) was the aggressor from the beginning but had trouble hitting Moreno (32-1-1, 11 KOs), who is a superb defensive fighter and counterpuncher. He was able to win by a large margin by frustrating Darchinyan all night. He countered Darchinyan the entire fight making him miss the majority of his punches. Moreno had Darchinyan so frustrated, that in the 4th round a point was taken away for throwing Moreno onto the floor.

The scores were 116-111, 117-110 and 120-107 in the Panamanian’s favor.
