Michael Conlan faces Alfredo Chanez at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago
Chicago, IL (May 26th, 2017)– Irish Olympic star Michael Conlan faces Alfredo Chanez at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago on Friday 26th May, live on BoxNation.
After a successful pro debut at a sold-out Madison Square Garden Theater, the 25-year-old will be aiming to impress on the big stage once again.
Conlan (1-0, 1 KO) stopped Tim Ibarra in the third round on St Patrick’s Day. Now one of boxing’s hottest prospects, promoted by Bob Arum’s Top Rank, takes his talent to Illinois.
Mexican Chanez (4-4-0, 2 KOs) is yet to be stopped so could prove to be a test for Conlan in this Featherweight six-rounder.
Former World Champion Mike Alvarado (36-4, 24 KOs) and unbeaten Welterweight contender Alex Saucedo (24-0, 15 KOs) also feature on the card. Plus, undefeated Welter Egidijus Kavaliauskas (16-0, 13 KOs) faces Daniel Echeverria (19-4, 17 KOs).
